The Process

The Saba Learning product was used by enterprise organizations to deliver structured education and ensure employees completed mandatory training, often required for regulatory compliance (such as insurance or government standards). The dashboard allowed employees to track their training progress and access required learning modules. Product Management sought to redesign the dashboard to enhance its appeal in sales demos while also boosting employee engagement and satisfaction.

Wireframes

To enhance the user experience, we implemented a tertiary navigation system that organized classes, events, and discussions into folder tabs, improving content discoverability and reducing cognitive load. We also introduced dynamic progress indicators and visual hierarchy to help users track their learning path, increasing engagement and ensuring clarity in task completion.

UI Designs

The design maintains a consistent visual language, using a unified color palette, typography, and iconography to create a cohesive experience across all screens. This enhances brand identity and aids in user comprehension. Accessibility was a primary focus, with features such as keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and color contrast adjustments to ensure the product is usable by people with diverse abilities.

Technical Constraints

The product's HTML had not been updated in several years, and there were significant engineering constraints due to legacy code. Working closely with the engineering team, we implemented UX revisions that accommodated these technical limitations, prioritizing cost-effective solutions while maintaining a functional and user-friendly interface.
