At Saba, our team was tasked with repackaging Saba Centra, a product within the enterprise suite, into a web conferencing solution tailored for small businesses. Recognizing the need for feature-rich software in this market, a forward-thinking team in Product Management and Online Marketing saw an opportunity to differentiate the product from competitors, who offered fewer features. I designed the UI based on UX wireframes, contributing to the project's success, which generated $1 million in revenue during its first year.
We identified the four most common user objectives and streamlined access to them on a splash screen, enabling users to quickly and easily get started with the product.
One key issue with existing small business and consumer conferencing software was the lack of an intuitive way to manage meeting calendars and access past recordings. As online meetings became more frequent, users increasingly relied on recorded sessions as a form of note-taking. In response, we developed a dashboard that allowed users to seamlessly start, schedule, view, and manage both current and past meetings.
Unlike Saba Centra, which lacked an account management section, Saba Meeting required a user-friendly interface that clearly outlined the different product tiers and their associated features. We also strategically designed the interface to highlight the premium tier, making it easier to upsell customers.
